FAQ
Our Products
We set up Holy Grail Nail so that everyone could experience the convenience, practicality and value of using nail wraps.
What are nail wraps?
Nail wraps are self adhesive stickers made of real nail polish – simply choose the correct size for your nail, peel and stick. File off the excess and apply a top coat for extra durability! They don't require curing and last for up to 2 weeks depending on what your hands get up to!
How do I apply nail wraps?
Our Crystal and Gel are applied in the same way! Simply cure the Gel wraps for 120 seconds and the Crystal wraps for 60 seconds with our UV/LED lamp to give a rock hard long lasting finish.
For application guides, see:
How many nail wraps are included in each pack?
For our Crystal or Gel Manicure ranges, 20 nail wraps are included in each pack.
For our Gel Pedicure range, 32 nail wraps are included in each pack.
How long do nail wraps last?
Our Crystal and Semi Cured Gels last approximately 3 weeks. It's all dependent on what you do with your hands really – remember if you've got a stunning mani, your nails are jewels, not tools!
We'd also always suggest changing your wraps at least every 3 weeks and giving your nails a bit of time to breathe.
Do you have nail wraps for people with gel allergies?
Our Gel wraps and our Crystal wraps are both made of gel, and so if you have a gel allergy, it is best to be cautious with these.
Many of our customers with gel allergy are able to use our gel products as they are completely dry and no wet gel actually touches your skin or nail. Additionally because they are stickers, only the adhesive on the back of the sticker is actually in contact with your nails – however everyone is different and we would always recommend patch testing to be sure.
What top coats do you recommend?
We recommend these top coats for use with our wraps:
What's the difference between Classic, Crystal, and Gel wraps?
Our Crystal Wraps are a little thinner and stretchier, so many of our customers find them helpful if they have slightly wider nails.
Gel Wraps are a bit thicker, and cure to give a harder finished mani.
While both styles are likely to last longer than our Classic Wraps (as they are made of gel), the Gel Wraps are also likely to last a little longer than the Crystals as they are that bit thicker.
Shipping
How long does UK shipping take?
The postage transit time within the UK is 7 working days but please allow up to 14 days for your item to arrive as it sometimes takes Royal Mail longer to deliver.
Please note that during periods of particularly high demand, such as the Black Friday period and in the run-up to Christmas, it may take 2-3 working days for your order to be despatched.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! International postage times vary dependent on destination – please allow up to 3 weeks.
Any extra fees for customs clearance, import duties, or taxes are solely the customer's responsibility. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping costs and are not reflected at checkout.
What are your European shipping options?
Standard Shipping: we use Deutsche Post. This is a fully tracked service via the postal system. Transit times will depend on your delivery destination.
Express Shipping: we use DHL. This is a door to door courier service. Your order should be with you in a few days using this Express service.
Do you offer express delivery in the UK?
For express Express Delivery we use a 24 hour tracked shipping service, which usually arrives next day (including Saturdays). We would recommend this option if your order is particularly urgent.
Application and Removal
How do I prepare my nails for application?
Wash your hands with dish soap to remove all oils. Then push back your cuticles or remove your cuticles with Cuticle Magic. Any oil / cream / sunscreen on your nails will cause the wrap to peel off.
Make sure you the place wrap so that it is not touching your cuticle or skin. If there is overlap on your skin or cuticle, the wrap is more likely to peel off.
How do I get the best adhesion?
Choose a wrap that is very slightly smaller than your nail for best results. After applying the wrap, press down thoroughly all over the nail surface. That adhesive needs to stick well, so the more you press, the better the adhesion! Press, press and press again!
Don't forget to press in the corners of your nail beds too (using a wooden cuticle pusher can help).
Finally seal in your wraps with a good quality top coat.
What should I avoid when applying top coat?
Thin layers are better than thick layers.
Not every top coat is suitable for every person (we all have different nail chemistry!). If you do not get the results you are expecting with your top coat, it may be worth switching to a UV curable top coat or switching to a non-UV curable top coat.
Avoid using quick dry top coats. Some quick dry top coats can also cause shrinkage, so make sure you test the top coat before using!
How do I fix small chips?
Small chips can be filed off, and then a new layer of top coat can be applied, to give your mani a new lease of life.
If your tips have worn slightly, you can gently file off the worn tip, and reapply a layer of top coat to extend the wear time of your wraps.
How do I remove nail wraps safely?
Perhaps the easiest removal method is using Magic Remover.
Whilst it is tempting to do (especially if you want to get that next style on the go!) peeling the wraps off can damage your natural nail by tugging at the surface.
If you've peeled and need to repair you nails, try lots of nourishing hand cream, use Cuticle Doctor twice daily, try using biotin vitamin supplements and apply nail strengthener. Let any damage grow out before using nail wraps again.
Tips and Tricks
How can I make my nail wraps last longer?
If you are a classic wrap user, incorporating a UV top coat like Ultimate Shine Top Coat – and when you apply, capping the tips (putting a little extra across the very tip of your nail) can help to reduce the tip wear.
We recommend our Ultimate Shine Top Coat and Magic Gloss Top Coat.
What's the trick for filing nail wraps?
A trick some of our customers do is to cut the wraps a little bit past the nails and then fold the overhang and tuck it in under the tip until it "sets" a little. Once it has had a little while to set, and adhere to the very tips of your nails, you can then start filing!
